It had to happen

Our sweet baby, our nice baby, our happy baby threw his first fit last night. And it was a big one. he wants to chew on our cellphones and I took it away last night because excess droll + electronics does not equal safety, so no phone for baby William and he got mad...really mad. Chad and I looked at each other like "what do we do now?" We just ignored him and tried to distract him with other toys to no avail. is that what you're "supposed" to do? We have no idea. Any ideas from you????

I went through 3 cell phones during Rylie's first year!

I am still figuring out what to do during these moments. Breathe, count to ten, and dont give in.

we are having one of those mornings. i am going the ignoring route, and i like the don't give in thing too. it is hard when they are screaming right in your ear though. i love the elvis suit from the last post. and the cupcakes, oh the cupcakes!

Oh, we're right there with all of you. Don't give in. It's so stinkin' hard, but don't give in. Ry can pitch a fit like no on'es business. It's kind of awesome.

Word to yo motha.
We've got some pretty awesome stubborness over here too.
Amen to the Don't Give in.
Good job on that natural parenting.
It eventually starts to rub off that you aren't going to "entertain" their insanity.
Will ruined 3 cell phones in his first year too Jessica, not all our's unfortunately.

the fun stuff is starting! we went thru that with both the boys, and still have to look forward to it with jack! the best thing we did was just ignore it and not give in! stand your ground and remember the fit will pass. we always try to be careful when the fit is in action, not to give attention to it....because any attention you give them is attention even if its negative attention.
